When we decided to live at John Knox Village, we had some very definite ideas about what kind of living quarters we wanted. We wanted to continue bonding with our 4 children and didn’t want them to stay in a hotel or in guest rooms at the Village. We wanted them right there with us when they came to visit. It couldn’t have worked out better. Our children said; “this is the best gift you could ever have given us.”

We have been living in our large 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment for the past eleven years. It is light and airy with huge windows, faces east, and has a lovely view of the front lawn. Since there were no units like this in the original building plan, how did we accomplish this? John Knox Village’s own maintenance staff simply put two apartments together for us and we got to put our “two cents worth” in so it would meet our needs.

All the staff at John Knox Village is so friendly and always accomodating. And another thing, we found out “first hand” what it is like to be a patient in the skilled nursing facility. It is tops! After all, that’s really why we came here. It was about our future health needs and “aging in place”. The lovely apartment was just “icing on the cake”. If you have never been to John Knox Village, we think you are in for a great surprise!
