Art is Ageless!
In 1998, my life changed drastically. I became a widow. I was lonely and had become concerned about my future health care needs. So I decided I needed to make a new life for myself. Since I had been living in Weslaco for the past eight years and had put down roots, I felt the most natural thing for me to do was to move to John Knox Village. The "Village" offered me a life style to which I was accustomed, plus a great Arts & Crafts facility so I could pursue my passion for oil painting.
I was able to continue my volunteer work at Knapp Memorial Hospital and still had time to participate in the many activities at John Knox Village. The people here are friendly, the surroundings are appealing and the food is very good. I am so happy I joined the family at John Knox Village.
